In many ways people need to be reminded that the time to repent is now, but salvation does not come as a consequence of our fear of death. True salvation can only come through realising that we must shed our fear of death and suffering by fixing our eyes on Christ Jesus and the power of resurrection, the defeat of death itself that came with the cross.
