Genesis 21 - 30

A miracle happens... Sarah gives birth to a son at the age of 90 and names him Isaac (which means joke or laugh)

Abraham plans to offer Isaac as a sacrifice to God. He reasoned that since God have him a son child at 100 years, he might as well do anything!

The servant goes out to find a wife for Isaac. This is for me the first sign of evangelism. He stands in a place where people gather, prays specifically on who to meet and waits patiently on God's answer. Amazing!

It's really amazing that at Abraham's death, Ismael came back to bury his father eventhough him and his mother were mistreated.

Isaac follows his father's footstep by lying through his teeth about his wife.

The bible says that Esau caused grief to his parents. No wonder the mother sided with the youngest. I mean they were twins...

Now Esau seems like he doesn't know what he wants and marries Ismael's daughter because his wives were causing trouble...

Eventhough Jacob had received the promise and blessning from God, God still used deception to teach him a lesson. Which shows the eternal truth that He disciplines those he loves.

Jacob works for his wife and still God closes her womb. Surely by now the message is obvious: God wants us to believe our blessing is a gift not a right.

The inner self is a world of self-discovery where the age old question is asked: Who am I? It is the world of seeking after the divine heritage that beats in our souls. The inner self is where we find the c...

Added a FIFA Brazil Widget to my blog

So after an enthralling UEFA Champions League Final, it's on to Brazil for the ultimate showpiece. I must say that my wife and I had plans to go to Brazil albeit financial constraints that kept us at bay. In any case, I decided to add a widget to the blog showing off and passion for the event and the game itself. Let me know what you think of it. Enjoy!
