Well, this morning I realised that my work IT department has disabled the uploading or downloading of attachments to my Gmail address. So I decided to do a little digging into sending some files (albeit small) files to my Google Drive account.
To my surprise, Google Drive doesn't natively support email upload of files (strangely enough it supports email upload with Google Drive to Youtube provided you have activated that function).
By the way do you know you can also send email (and attachments) to Evernote, Picasa, Facebook and Twitter?
And so the power of the internet (as I discussed yesterday) is such that someone out there will spent his/her precious time making a useful program that will do exactly that. It's called Email It In. What it does is exactly in the words. Email your attachements to your Cloud storage account. Be it Google or Dropbox.
Now that's what I call, "Bringing the E back to Email".
