Did I mention I decided to study again...

So it came about a few months ago, when in the midst of clocking major overtime on work, I realised how much I missed doing research on topics of personal interests. Then the thought of perhaps working on such issues on a more consistent basis sparked the wild idea of me doing my PhD. Even though I love my job and I consider myself to be extremely privilege to have a large part of my hobby being my job (flight control), I craved for more. Most working people out there will call be spoiled or even ungrateful for what I've achieved, but honestly cannot picture a life where I've just settled technically. So here we are, I've officially sent my application to Wits university (I hope I'll find still standing) for the year 2017. I've also given myself five years of part-time study but the most exciting thing is that I now have a real challenge on my plate. How do I make all this work? Let the games begin...

Check-in blog!

So what's been clear from the last few months since writing my last post here, is that time can certainly fly when life pressures sky-rockets!!!! I'm now a new daddy and managing a whole department at work. This all came at once!!!! It's been unreal on the amount of pressure that has suddenly being put on my shoulders but It has certainly changed my perspective of an 8-hours work day. It's amazing how much time is actually wasted during the day. Some time wasters are described here.  It;s amazing how unfocused I was during the day with 'internet breaks'. And now that I also manage three big projects, it makes the need for focus an absolute MUST. Talking about fatherhood... That's another blog for another day! (Hopefully tomorrow!)
