He remains faithfull...

It's been almost 3 years since i've joined ATE and i've been struggling to spread the gospel amongst my colleagues. As i was eating by myself (my daily routine), someone came to join me. His name was Philemon. The conversation opened up an avenue for us to chat about God and how we need to make time to get to know him. I shared how we can live lives to the full by having God in our lives. So we decided that we'll continue to chat and i'll send him some scriptures to encourage him. I walked away from that having the biggest smile, knowing full well that God himself was putting his hand on my shoulder to encourage me. Amen

Bearing fruit in every good work

It may seems sometimes that life as a disciple gets to a point where we have the right focus meaning: we strive to pray everyday, be involved in bible studies, have regular meetings where we get to talk about our lives, we are serving through various mediums (ushers, worship) and we can even be sharing the odd communion message. But yet our 'good deeds' doesn't truly produce good fruit. What do I mean? There's no substance, no meaningful and  no visible end results to the things we do. We are not moved by an internal force to fuels us with a passion for what we do and say. In Col 1:10, it tackles this very issue. The notion of becoming 'churchanized' is very real. You've become very good at the things the church requires to keep you part of their membership. The substitution of zeal and passion for the cause of Christ with 'maturity' and knowledge, is something that every Christian will face or is facing. The idea of God's power is merely a pow...

Monday Blues...

It seems to happen to me every monday. As soon as i switch my PC on i'm hit with this notion that i'm trapped in a rat race i thought i would never be part of. But then again... Is there such thing as a sat race? Or is it a concept made up by those who were too cowardly to do something about their 'helpless' situations? Well according to the Bible, we are either slave to God or Satan. But i think my problem (and so many other millions who hav a job) is notion of someone else controlling our lives. Eventhough that very life was never mine. Besides God, our parents should hav more say on wat we do wit lives as they brought into this world. So the concept of havin to work for the rest of our lives, is only a snapshot of countless examples of dependability all around. But instead of embracing this unshakeable fact, we try fight. The only thing we truly hav control of, is how pleasant we make our slavery through the choices we make.

Weekend in Spruitview

Lerato and i decided to go visit the gran and mother in Spruitview. I must be honest, i tried really hard not freak out knowing this will be the first time i sleep at my in-laws. But what a great time it was... :) Eventhough Rato and i got attacked by 'Sinus City' while we were cleaning, it was a blessed time. The Gran and i really got to chat and laugh and Rato got to spend much needed time wit her sick mother. For Jesus always made time for those in need. It is commended as true religion to take care of the widows and orphans. So this weekend really showed why...

The infamous traffic department

Woke up early this morning thinking that i'm going finally going to have a 'great' day at the Traffic department. How wrong i was! Not only was i transferred from one traffic department to the next... Now get this... I was sent to the back of the line because i didn't have a copy of my ID! How crazy is that! Swallowing my pride and wondering why i even raised my hopes, imagining exceptional service, that copy had barely any ink on it... And i pay R3 for it. AMAZING! Now let's think about that... At CNA, you can get a rim of paper (500 sheets) for R46. That means you can make a profit of approx R1500 by just selling a rim of paper!I think i'm in the wrong profession all together. You have to love this country...
