Check-in blog!

So what's been clear from the last few months since writing my last post here, is that time can certainly fly when life pressures sky-rockets!!!! I'm now a new daddy and managing a whole department at work. This all came at once!!!! It's been unreal on the amount of pressure that has suddenly being put on my shoulders but It has certainly changed my perspective of an 8-hours work day. It's amazing how much time is actually wasted during the day. Some time wasters are described here.  It;s amazing how unfocused I was during the day with 'internet breaks'. And now that I also manage three big projects, it makes the need for focus an absolute MUST. Talking about fatherhood... That's another blog for another day! (Hopefully tomorrow!)

Automated sprinkling system using microcontroller

So I've been working on a concept to help my garden grow from what it is now something more substantial. It's really tough on the lawns to have two busy dogs and not enough water. So eventually I decided to buy 12V solenoid valve ( which can work down to 7V) and design a PCB board with the necessary hardware. So this board has the capability of temperature and daylight. So with this, it will be able to switch the sprinkler only at optimum timers of the year. I'll upload more pics once the finished product is working. Which is hopefully the next few days.

Life and It's Lemons - update

Awesome #camping. The great #outdoor #country #goodliving #instaphoto #life2full I must say we're a bit rusty as I almost forgot the tent and forgot to bring a long enough extension cord. My lovely wife @kantue packed cheese but only brought a plastic butter knife. #letthegoodtimesroll via Instagram http://ift.tt/1AzRUNf

Life and It's Lemons - update

Obelix would like to wish his beautiful mommy @kantue a happy birthday for today. He loves the treats she gives her and can smell her scent thousand miles away. Keep cuddling with me mommy and I'll be the luckiest son dog ever! #hbd #ilovemydog #schnauzer #birthdaythings #life2full via Instagram http://ift.tt/1NHZzDn

The call for introspection before passing judgement

Theological Seminary (1955). Carnell calls us to humble discernment. Whoever meditates on the mystery of his own life will quickly realize why only God, the searcher of the secrets of the heart, can pass final judgment. We cannot judge what we have no access to. The self is a swirling conflict of fears, impulses, sentiments, interests, allergies, and foibles. It is a metaphysical given for which there is no easy rational explanation. Now if we cannot unveil the mystery of our own motives and affections, how much less can we unveil the mystery in others? That is, as we look into ourselves, we encounter the mystery of our own, the depths of our own selfhood. As we sing things like “Just as I am, though tossed about with many a conflict, many a doubt, fightings within and fears without, O Lamb of God, I come.” And having recognized the mysteries that dwell in the very depths of our own being, how can we treat other people as if they were empty or superficial beings, without the same kin...

The Nicene Creed - Christianity's departure point

I came across this piece of Christian Literature and it amazed me that these words is probably the ONLY common ground to the thousand churches we have today. How did it get so lost? First Council of Nicea (325) First Council of Constantinople (381) We  believe in one God ,  the Father Almighty , Maker of all things visible and invisible. We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker  of  heaven  and earth, and  of all things visible and invisible. And in one  Lord  Jesus Christ, the  Son of God , begotten of the Father [the  only-begotten ; that is, of the essence of the Father, God of God,] Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of  one substance with the Father ; And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the  only-begotten  Son of God, begotten of the Father  before all worlds  (æons) , Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father; By ...

My Aha week!

So it's reflection time when I didn't even know what it meant. This new year has surely started in a big bang eventhough part of me still feels like I'm holiday. Well the comforting thought is that my wife and I have really seen the benefit of a premium DSTV package since we're so avid movie fanatics. But the last week has surely rocked my world for a lack of a better saying. I was chosen for work leadership programme and I've loved every minute of it. This was not about numbers or tools to be effective but rather about taking the time to discover oneself with an expert guiding you every step. I realise that there's so many gaps in my perception on alot of issues eventhough I thought I had pretty good lateral thinking. I got to find out that I worry too much about the future that I stop living the present moment and so miss the opportunities for future growth. I realise that I don't accept compliments well because I fear having the image of a bad boy. I re...
