FIFA World Cup Fever - Rolling back the years

The FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014 is due to start in just a few hours. It's amazing that four years have passed and how time tells a story. I still remember the euphoria we were part of when the whole country become soccer crazy. I was engaged then and hoping to get married to my best friend. Hi bros and sisters I think people will still travel on Saturday anyway to different destinations, so they can travel to Athlone Girls for our Christmas party. "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." (Hebrews 11:1). Often times I believe that I have faith by what I say and think. But the more I meditate on this scripture, I see that 'being sure' comes with your body language when that situation is mentioned. You don't drop ur head; you still have a bounce in your step. Everything about you says you have a positive attitude towards that situation. "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6). It's a big step in learning how to have meaningful conversations. Take this example: A wife has shared that she is hurt by something her husband has done, and he responds, "I appreciate your sharing your ideas and feelings with me. Now I can understand why you could feel so hurt. If I were in your shoes, I'm sure I would feel the same way. I want you to know that I love you very much, and it hurts me to see you upset.
