God Uses People Who Practice Good Health Principles

God Uses People Who Practice Good Health Principles : "Don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and who was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourselves but to God; he bought you for a price. So use your bodies for God's glory." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 TEV) "Sanctify" means to dedicate something for personal use by God. You can take your house and say, "God, I dedicate this house to you." You can say, "God, I take this car and dedicate it to you." It means taking whatever you have and giving it to God for his use. The Bible says, "Don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and who was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourselves but to God; he bought you for a price. So use your bodies for God's glory" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 TEV). God uses all kinds of vessels, but he wants your vessel to be pure, clean, and healt...

Who Defines Who You Are?

Who Defines Who You Are? : "The Lord turned to [Gideon] and said, 'Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?'" (Judges 6:14 NIV) Gideon was the least member of the weakest clan in the tribe of Manasseh. His task on the day in question was the tedious threshing of wheat, a process where the cereal grain is knocked loose from the chaff. But this devotional is not about agriculture. It's about God's ability to see you for who you are meant to be, not for what you appear to be. God saw Gideon as a mighty warrior and judge who would lead the Israelites back to their proper worship of God (Judges 6:12). Gideon, on the other hand, saw himself as just a guy cranking wheat through a creaky old winepress. But that didn't matter to God. He told Gideon: "Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?" (Judges 6:14 NIV) Take note: The strength of t...

Don't Compare Yourself to Others

Don't Compare Yourself to Others : "Let everyone be sure to do his very best, for then he will have the personal satisfaction of work done well and won't need to compare himself with someone else." (Galatians 6:4 LB) Truth be told, you cannot be happy and envious at the same time. In fact, one of the greatest secrets of having happiness in your life is learning how to eliminate envy. Just acknowledging that you struggle with envy can be painful, but it is the first step toward a change of values and a more mature spiritual life. God says the way you change envy is by changing your perspective. While you may not be able to completely change the feelings that cause envy, you can change the way you look at things, and that will eliminate envy from your life.  To change your perspective, the first thing you have to do is stop comparing yourself to others. The Bible says satisfaction comes from doing your best, not comparing yourself to others: "Let e...

How to beat Barcelona: Buy a school bus and consult your luck doctor

Last night was dejavu of an Inter Milan vs Barcelona semi final. It's as if Di Matteo asks Mourinho for a copy of the tape. What's more scary, the events happened almost to the tee. The order earlier that day: find someone who can get us a bus so we can park it in our half and find the closest luck doctor so the whole team can go consult. On the other hand, what did Barcelona expect? For Chelsea to just play attacking football to the last minute? To have Lampard or Ramirez attack without blinking twice? It was obvious that the whole Chelsea team played out of their comfort zone. I mean who would be comfortable playing only 20% of the ball throughout the whole match. That means that for every 10 passes you only get to touch once. Tell a kid that's the rule of the game, and he'll run back to mommy to tell on you. So with the Chelsea drinking their sore 2009 wounds away at the nearest pub, we they honestly think a single goal is enough at the Nou Camp? I mean if Chelsea ...

War of Tablet - Part 2 - iPad 2 vs. Android

So I decided to carry on doing some digging (and in response to John), and I stumbled upon this article   iPad 2 vs. Android: And the winner is... - Computerworld Blogs : and it got me really thinking. Although the Ipad is an incredibly simple piece of machinery, the only serious issue i have (i mean really serious), is the user's inability to configure it whatsoever outside the constraints of its proprietary software iTunes. That really ticks me off especially because i own a XPERIA Neo and the best thing about this device is its inherent ability to be modified to any user-defined configuration (albeit the lack of RAM). Now having the foreknowledge that I can't do the same with the Apple tablet (which I would think is the platform to offer such services) makes me cringe in the knowledge that I'm playing an open-handed "GO TO JAIL" card willingly... So my verdict (based on these new findings): The ipad 2 ( or 3) is great piece of machine constrained by manufac...

Why need a tablet?

I mean really! Trying to be objective in this latest craze to get your hands in the next technology gadget, are we really getting value for money? I've spent the last couple of hours (precious sleep hours I might add) to figure out whether I should finally succumb to the tablet world. So the first question was... Android or iOS? I mean there's so much politics going around between ipad 2 and Samsung galaxy tab or the new kid on the block... which seems to be changing all the time. It's like the endless comparison between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and should deserve the top spot of player of the century award. I mean isn't this all a marketing gimic? Even the famous Pele and Maradona got into the act! And just like with everything in life, you eventually takes side. And it's so difficult not to. So which is it? Do you go for versatility of Android or constant achiever and ever reliable Ipad? It's like asking to do you go for the consistent Messi or su...
